Danish marine pump specialist Svanehøj has won an order from China’s Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding to produce gasoline pump systems for 15 new build dual-fuel LNG container vessels (7000 TEU).

The 30 deepwell fuel pumps might be delivered between August 2022 and January 2024.
This is one of Svanehøj’s largest LNG fuel-related orders to date. It can be the second LNG gas pump methods order that Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding has positioned with Svanehøj in the last year. In July 2021, Svanehøj signed a contract to provide deepwell pumps for 10 dual-fuel LNG container vessels (15 000 TEU).
Svanehøj quadrupled sales of its patented deepwell fuel pumps in 2021, and says there are many indications that sales might enhance even additional in 2022.
“Until a few years in the past, using LNG as a marine gasoline was restricted to LNG carriers and smaller ships.
