Atlas Copco has agreed to amass the German industrial pump producer Pumpenfabrik Wangen GmbH from non-public equity firm Silverfleet Capital.

Headquartered in Wangen in the Allgäu area of Germany, Pumpenfabrik Wangen specialises in progressive cavity pumps used primarily in the biogas and wastewater sectors, and twin-screw pumps for food and beverage and cosmetics purposes.
Pumpenfabrik Wangen has manufacturing services in Germany, a US subsidiary and a global sales and service footprint. The firm employs 265 folks and had 2020 revenues of approximately €46.four million.
“Industrial pumps is a section that we have identified as a strategic fit for Atlas Copco and Wangen Pumpen has leading differentiated technology with a robust aftermarket enterprise,” said Andrew Walker, president of Atlas Copco’s Power Technique business area. “Wangen Pumpen is a robust model and is known for high quality in demanding industrial functions. This acquisition will create a solid foundation for additional growth in new industrial pump segments.”
